what does fitness mean to you?
i'm beginning to think making vlogs is much easier than writing blogs, yet i'm terrified of doing a vlog. maybe that's going to be my next obstacle to tackle.
so, for the past hour, i've been thinking about what fitness means to me. according to the dictionary: capability of the body of distributing inhaled oxygen to muscle tissue during increased physical effort. Rosa Lee Timm made a vlog about depression/fitness: how one should treat counseling as a gym. while watching her vlog, something came to mind about how when we first begin working out, usually we become sore (in some cases DEADLY sore, you should see how sore i was last week;)) and it can be uncomfortable. it's similar with unpacking ourselves. when we truly unpack ourselves, certainly it won't be fun. the key is to maintain doing it, regardless how uncomfortable it may become. eventually, you will reach to the point where you appreciate it. sweating out toxins and unpacking/getting rid of negative energy/unnecessary keepsakes (unhealthy memories) are good for your health!
i think it is also important to note the dictionary's definition for fitness: distributing inhaled oxygen to muscle tissue during increased physical effort. think about it... distributing inhaled oxygen to muscle tissue is similar with the feel-good endorphins stimulating at the beginning, then eventually releasing as soon as you cool off from a work out. the adrenaline rush of blood flowing throughout your body, i love. something about being in touch with every bit of your internal organs, especially your brain. we know that the brain is a thinking organ that thrives by reaching out to the sphere through perception and action. one way to stimulate your brain is exercise. it prevents your brain from cognitively declining. if you look at your body as a thinking organ that your brain is, you will realize how important it is to also stimulate your body's ability to adapt and improve daily. the feel-good endorphins are good for both your brain and your body.
so, what does fitness mean to me?
to stimulate and release the feel-good endorphins at all times with determination to keeping fit mentally, physically & spiritually.
happy endorphin-releasing!
